Experience Living History With a Howard County Historical Society Walking Tour

6 September, 2019 | Apartments

Take a walk back in time with the Howard County Historical Society. Ellicott City’s nearly 250-year-old Historic Mill Town hosts several guided tours throughout the year and is waiting for you to discover all its secrets. The Howard County Society, founded in 1958, also offers a variety of other activities which give you the opportunity to learn the stories behind its iconic landmarks, records and artifacts.

If you’re a fan of ghost stories, Ye Haunted History of Olde Ellicott City is the perfect tour for you. Stroll through one of the most haunted small towns in America and hear tales of the Civil War soldier who stalks Main Street and the Lady in White of Tonge Row. Are pub tours a little more your speed? Then don’t miss The Spirits Pub Tour held the second Thursday of every month (must be 21 and older). Prices for the tours range from $11- $15 per person. Tickets must be purchased online the day before the tour by 5 p.m.
