Lace Up Your Sneakers for the Discover Downtown Columbia 5K

The Discover Downtown Columbia 5K isn’t just an opportunity to get some exercise. It’s also a comprehensive tour of the town. It starts and ends at the People Tree downtown, taking you on a circuitous route around Columbia so you can see the sights—a fun excursion for long-time residents and newbies alike!

Now in its sixth year, the Discover Downtown Columbia 5K will kick off on Sunday, October 6th at 9 a.m. After you embark from the People Tree, you’ll run, jog, or stroll past a few apartment buildings and office centers before weaving through Symphony Woods and trotting across the newly renovated stage at the Merriweather Post Pavilion. Keep going past Toby’s Dinner Theatre, the Howard County Library’s Central Branch, and Lake Kittamqundi before you circle back to the People Tree for food and beer from Hysteria Brewing Co.
