Drive or Walk Through a Winter Wonderland at the Symphony of Lights

Looking for an outdoor setting to enjoy some holiday magic this year? The Symphony of Lights is a favorite holiday activity in Howard County, and it’s open every day through January 2. Drive your vehicle through a dazzling array of elves, presents, snowflakes, and more for $20 per vehicle. There are some specialty events for you and your loved ones to enjoy the ambiance on foot!

Walk through this winter wonderland with your furry friends during the annual Tail Lights event on Monday, December 7 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. for $10 per person. Take photos with the displays and you’ll keep the holiday spirit all year long. Your pup can even win bragging rights in a doggie costume contest, so wear a festive costume and show off your holiday spirit!

Need something to do for New Year’s Eve? The Midnight on the Hour outdoor celebration is another opportunity to see the lights on foot. Welcome 2021 with fireworks at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. for $15 per person, or a purchase a family 4-pack for $50.

Hours and pricing vary based on the day and the event, so check their website for details. You’ll need to buy your tickets ahead of time due to limited capacity. A portion of the proceeds even benefit the Howard County General Hospital, so you can support the community while you celebrate the season under the sparkling lights.
